Research Board
Overview
The Research Board meets on a weekly basis for an hour during both the Fall and Spring semesters. Analysts are divided into six groups, each led by an experienced Portfolio Manager (PM) to conduct research and present findings. During the Fall semester, analysts learn how to create and present a stock pitch, gaining hands-on experience developing investment theses, building valuations, and presenting their ideas.
In the Spring, analysts again work in groups but rotate across specific asset classes, including equity, fixed income, commodities, FX, and crypto. They provide market updates to SWS members and prepare trade pitches to support investment decisions.
New analysts are accepted every semester through an application process.
