Research Board
Overview
The Research Board meets on a weekly basis for an hour. Analysts on the Research Board follow the markets, checking to see when the chapter should buy and sell stocks in their portfolio, and providing market updates to SWS members on a rotating basis. They also prepare stock pitches to help make the decision about whether to buy or sell a stock. Our senior analysts decide on our Chapter’s asset allocation through the online trading platform.
Portfolio Competition
Our Research Board manages a portfolio that can be tracked during a friendly competition among the chapters. Our Chapter won the 2019/2020 Virtual Portfolio Competition! Our chapter also won first place in the 2017-2018 competition. The next competition starts in December of 2020.
