Competition Date: Saturday, February 8th 2020 Location: Tepper School of Business
Overview: There will be representatives from top financial firms judging the competition including Principal Financial, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup who are eager to engage with the young women at CMU. The event is also sponsored by the Tepper School of Business, Bachelor of Science in Computational Finance program, and Carnegie Mellon's Department in Mathematical Sciences.
Top four teams will earn cash prizes totaling $2600.
2-4 self-identified female undergraduate students per team
Single US equity(minimum $500 million market cap)
Long position for 12 months
The content of your pitch should include but is not limited to industry and company overview, competitor's analysis, investment thesis, catalysts, valuation metrics, risks, and conclusion.
Format Preliminary Round
Teams are randomly divided into four presentation groups
Preliminary Round consists of 10-minute presentation followed by 10-minute Q&A
The judges will select one finalist team from each group
The final round will have the same format: 10-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A
